Photographs (A Poem)

Photographs (draft)

Going through old photographs

The years stacked one on top another

A rocky mountain

The top layer my boys

Then that trip to Asia

To Europe

College and working at the store

Then the West Virginia strata

Every other picture she and I

Thick as thieves, double first cousins

I left, she stayed

Frustrated incorporated

And ring around the rosie

We all fell down

Down

Down

The rabbit hole

And I could never find my way

Back to the Queen of Hearts
